Southern Region is back and boy did I miss it!
Finally Southern region is compatible with the latest version of ETS2, v1.30.x and the wonderfully shitty roads and magical forrest gravel roads are here again.
Oh, and I also haul in a Kamaz 5410, a seriously serious truck.

Oh man, this truck... Im a Scania guy but I am genuinly in love with this thing. Its a fantastic truck, simple as that.
ATS - Timelaps coast to coast, 4177 miles from Moncton to La Paz
So, heres my 30 minute timelapse of a 4177 miles haul I did from Canada on the east coast to Southern Mexico on the west coast.
It took about 4,5 hours IRL and some 80 hours in game. Passing through 20 states and three countries I counted 31 cities I went either through or by but it may have been more...
To make it a bit challenging I also went for double full size trailers. Needed big fuel tanks for this and the result was that I only had to stop three times.
Fatigue was turned of so that I could drive through the night again and again and again...
I wont be doing any coast to coast hauls again any time soon...

ETS2 - Map of Transfagarasan for ETS2 v1.30 - My two cents
The Transfagarasan mountain road or national road 7C is one of the most spectacular roads in the world. It is 90 km (56 miles) long and is located in Romania. It runs trough the Fagaras mountains, a part of the Transsylvanian Alps. The road connects Transsylvania with Muntenia. The Transfagarasan starts at Bascov, near Piteçti. It follows the valley of the river Argea and after mounting to the highest point, it descends to Cartisoara in the Olt valley, where the road ends.
This map mod is a 1:1 scale map and contains 14 kilometer of the Transfagarasan. It requires its own profile and for better or worse it requires none of the SCS DLC maps to work.

ATS - Dalton Elliot Highway - HEXA trailer, six trailer road train
I took a hexa trailer, six trailer road train, to the Elliot, 82 miles from Fairbanks to Livengood Camp Airport. How hard could it be? Very hard is the answer.
Some stats: 310lb in total, length 300ft, 600HP, 2700NM and ETA 2h 5min.
Lets just say it didn't take 2 hours...and that it was harder then I thought...
And that there IS a problem with the mod!

ETS2 - Hauling on EAA again!
If you haven’t yet tried hauling on the EAA map, Ihighly recommend you give it a go.
It’s a massive map with lots of great scenery. I have a dedicated profile just for this map but it is possible to run this together with Promods. I just don’t fancy the idea of hauling from Europe to Brazil but I DO fancy the idea of hauling on EAA!
ATS - Volvo VNL670 by Aradeth
This is not a truck review! It’s more of a homecoming. Cause I drove this truck on ETS2 and it was epic! One of the best truck mods ever created despite only being a port from this, the original from ATS. So when I finally got around to drive it here on ATS I just had to and boy was I in for a treat!
ATS - Here’s the best piece of road on the Peru map
If you like hills, hairpin curves, mud, water, fog, traffic, tarmac, highways or bad roads in general... Basically what ever you like except snow, you will find it on this relatively short piece of road

ETS2 - Kirkenes quarry feat Fuso Supergreat - Gotta love the quarry
The Kirkenes Quarry, if you havent been there, you need to go there. To me, it is the Mecka of ETS2 and I have to go there once in a while.
This time I shot the video in third person, only the first half but its the most improtant and challenging part.
With me I brought the Mitsubishi Fuso Supergreat V Beta v1.4 by Koutsu and Inonaka (There is supposedly a v1.42 now but I have not tested it yet), a fantastic japanese truck and the first Fuso I really like.
ETS2 - FAW Jie Fang AC-10 by Kraen - A request for help
Guys, I know this is a bit odd but hey, what have I got to loose?
I fell in love with this truck but it is far from complete.
Watch the video and you will see why, its just beautiful this old truck!
Two biggest problem, it does not have the original engine and engine sound, it uses a modern Volvo engine. Second biggest problem, you cannot haul in this thing. It can only be driven.
So, if theres any modders out there who are willing to take this task on (Cause it sure doesnt look like Kraen will, he seems to have abandoned this one)

In its current version tho, you can only drive it as it is incapable of towing or hauling any trailers. Interior and exterior are almost complete but it is missing its original engine and transmission (currently uses modern volvos) But it is a fantastic piece of history that deserves a place among our truck mods.
I dont know what Kraens plans for this truck is but I have noticed that it is increasingly difficult to find even a working download link for this wonderful flatbed.
Jie Fang, meaning Liberation, is a commercial vehicle brand of First Automobile Works, FAW. The CA-10 was their very first truck, production started in 1956 and continued to 1986, reaching a total of almost 1,3 million examples built!
CA-10 was based on the Soviet ZIS-150 which again was based on the american International KR-11. It is (or was) powered by a 5,6 litre ZIS-159 I6 diesel engine producing some 90BHP and had a five speed transmission. Top speed was 65 km/t.
The Jiefang CA-10 was primarily a military truck for the Peoples Liberation Army but the factory also produced civilian variants includingambulances, fuel trucks, water tankers, dump trucks, lift trucks and other construction vehicles.

ETS2 - Russian weeks Jan 15 - Jan 30 2018 has ended. (Yes, it's now February)
Russian weeks are over. It was a lot of fun even tho I was struggling a bit in the end as I couldn’t get my daily dose of heavy cargo at any point during the last half of the weeks.

It was about time I did a special transport in a Scania other then the NG. This was the most obvious choice, the beautiful Scania 141.
